Well done to Mrs Keena and all the pupils of 3rd and 4th Class, who won 1st prize in a national competition won by Waterways Ireland.  They created a project on their experiences living by the Royal Canal.  Their project was chosen as the National Award Winner from seven regional winners.  They have won an I-Pad,  a voucher for the school and a boat trip for their class.

Super Sonna Scarecrows!

Congratulations to all those pupils in 3rd and 4th Class who made super scarecrows recently.  They were taking part in the scarecrow art competition that Belvedere House was running before Halloween.  With the help of their teacher, Mrs.Keena, they designed 2 scarecrows; ‘Joe the Singing Scarecrow’ and ‘Sonna Sally the Scarecrow’.  Sally was voted 2nd in the People’s Choice Award.  Have a look at the pictures below and you will see why! Well done to all involved!
