3.8:   Policy on Homework

It is Sonna N.S. belief that homework is an integral part of the child’s education. It is used to revise and reinforce the work taught during the school day. It is also very important as a means of involving the parents in their child’s education. Through supervising their child’s homework the parent will be able to keep abreast of their progress in school
We do not advocate a large amount of homework for the pupils. However we do expect that the prescribed homework will be completed to an acceptable standard i.e. to the standard of work attained by the pupil in class.

It is a general policy of Sonna N.S. that no written homework will be assigned at weekend.
A child who fails to complete his/her homework for any reason will be requested to:

The homework in each class will consist of some but not all of these areas each night.
